A/Prof. Sandra Turner

A/Prof. Turner is a radiation oncologist who has worked at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre, in Sydney, for 20 years sub-specializing in urological cancers. She was a founding member of FROGG, was on the Board of TROG, and maintains her interest in clinical research. She is on the Faculty of Radiation Oncology Council of RANZCR, and is the Clinical Lead on the Targeting Cancer campaign raising awareness of radiation therapy, which, as we know, is significantly under-utilized in Australia and New Zealand as well as around the world.

She was the immediate past Chief Censor in Radiation Oncology (clinician head of education and training in her speciality and chief examiner) and has an ongoing interest in post-graduate education. She is currently enrolled in a PhD in the area of medical leadership. She is enthusiastic about engaging radiation therapy professionals to take responsibility for promoting our amazing treatment to maximise its benefit for cancer patients.
