Nathan Fa’avae

Nathan Fa’avae is one of the highest achieving adventure racers in the world and the Captain of the highly successful New Zealand Adventure Racing Team, which won the World Championships in 2005, 2012, 2014 and 2015. His sporting career has spanned over 20-years which has included 5-years in the NZ Mountain Bike team, podium placings in the Coast to Coast and numerous victories around the world in Adventure Racing.

Throughout his semi-professional and professional sporting career, he has worked extensively in outdoor education and adventure tourism. He owns and directs the biggest adventure race in the world, the Spring Challenge which has up to 1200-women participating each year. He owns the freeze dry meal company Absolute Wilderness.

Nathan lives on the coast in Tasman Bay with his wife Jodie and three children. In 2016 his Autobiography, ‘Adventurer at Heart’ – won the major award at the New Zealand Mountain Film Festival. –
